32ND EUROPEAN ACADEMY OF CHILDHOOD DISABILITY ANNUAL MEETING 2020

POZNAN, POLAND, 17.06.2020 - 20.06.2020

INVITATION
We are honoured to inform you that the 32nd European Academy of Childhood Disability Annual Meeting – 2020 will take place in Poznan from June 17-20, 2020.

The annual meetings of the Academy attract the participation of eminent experts and specialists working towards improving the quality of life and reducing the effects of childhood disability.

The main goals of the conference are to present the latest knowledge, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic trends, and to create a forum for meetings and interdisciplinary discussions between specialists in the field of childhood disabilities including physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, pedagogues, and speech therapists. The problems to be addressed during the conference are centred around the difficult process of growing up and crossing the border into adulthood together with the disability persisting since childhood. The discussion will involve all the key elements supporting the process of age transition and facilitating the therapeutic management.

The conference in Poznan will be divided into four main thematic modules including musculoskeletal disorders, comorbidities, technological support of the rehabilitation process, and neuroplasticity.

The above thematic blocks will comprise pre-conference courses, plenary sessions, minisymposia, seminars, sessions and instructional workshops. In addition, we are planning a transatlantic webinar – a live transmission of orthopaedic procedures from operating rooms worldwide – entitled Mini-invasive techniques in paediatric orthopaedics.

The choice of Poznan as a venue is not accidental. Poznan, the capital of Wielkopolska Province, is a very modern and rapidly developing city, widely recognized as a centre of developmental medicine and rehabilitation both in Poland and across Europe, based on the invaluable contribution made by Professor Wiktor Dega.

It will be a great honour for us to host the participants of the conference here, in this unique city.

Yours sincerely,

Marek Jozwiak, MD, PhD

Chair of the Organizing Committee
